Women’s Circle Bible Study & Fellowship

Begins Monday September 14

Women’s Circle for Bible Study and Fellowship will begin our 2009-10 study meetings on Monday, September 14 at 1:30 pm in the Fireside room.  The Concept of a circle is drived from the Presbyterian Women’s organization of the PCUSA.  Presbyterian Women (PW) has a history of more than 200 years and is committed to nurturing faith, supporting the church’s mission, working for justice, and building community.  The circle is a small group meeting of women where:

  • Faith is nurtured and growth takes place through worship, study, friendship & outreach
  • Women are challenged to stretch beyond their limits
  • Women move beyond the safe places of life and reach out to others

Our Women’s Circle will meet the second Monday of each month (September-May) from 1:30 pm-3:30 pm in the Fireside Room.  All women of the church are welcome to attend.

We will be studying “Joshua – A Journey of Faith” by Dr. Mary Mikhael.  Mary is a professor of Christian Education at the Near East School of Theology (NEST) in Beirut, Lebanon and has served as its President since 1994.  In this year’s Bible Study, Mikhael pursues themes such as leadership, the concept of “holy war” and outsiders becoming insiders while teaching how to find rest in the justice and mercy of God.

Please join us on Monday, September 14 as we begin this Bible Study to expand our perceptions, deepen our understanding, and reflect on our lives as Christian women.
