Travel Companion’s Day Trip November 17th

Wednesday, November 17 – Departing 9:30 am…

Come join your friends for a tour of the Diocese of Stockton’s majestic Cathedral of Saint Mary’s of the Annunciation. Our host will be Father John Armistead who will guide us in understanding the cathedral’s architecture, rich history, and answer questions about Roman Catholic worship.

 Lunch Out!
After touring the cathedral we’ll journey to Stockton’s oldest Mexican restaurant to enjoy the excellent food and wonderful atmosphere of the Arroyo Cafe at Quail Lakes.  The Arroyo Cafe has been a favorite lunch spot for Stockton diners since 1946.

But There’s More!
Following lunch Travel Companions will motor down Pershing Avenue to the Haggin Museum of Art, History, and Industry.   After a three-year absence the J.C. Leyendecker collection returns to public display for a special exhibition in the newly refurbished Holt gallery. Before Norman Rockwell, there was J.C. Leyendecker–arguably the nation’s most popular and successful commercial artist of the first four decades of the 20th century. The Haggin Museum is one of the finest museums in all of California. This gem is a must see!
