Youth Group Santa Cruz Retreat

The Youth Group Spring Retreat at Santa Cruz is almost here. On Friday, April 25th at 6pm, the youth group will meet at the church and head to Camp Santa Cruz for a weekend of fun and fellowship. The cost is $20.00 per person for lodging at Camp Santa Cruz. The kids will need to bring spending money for Saturday afternoon at the Boardwalk/Skate Park. We will return Sunday afternoon. Kids will have to have their parents sign a Consent Form, forms can be picked up at Wednesday Night or Sunday morning Bible studies. Attendees will need to bring sleeping bags and pillows, toiletries, towel and or beach towel, clothing for cool weather and warm weather. Guatemala Mission Trip July 18-25

The Mission-Outreach Ministry Team of Escalon Presbyterian Church is planning a mission trip to the country of Guatemala this summer (July 18-25, 2008). We currently have a team of 7 people planning to go in cooperation with LifeWind International out of Modesto, California. Our short-term mission team will be partnering with Hugo Gomez, the Central America Coordinator for LifeWind’s Community Health Evangelism program (CHE) to assist developing communities in various village projects. Some of the work projects we will be involved in will be assisting in the building of a church, helping with medical clinics, and some of our team will be working with children.

Our trip will be facilitated through Face to Face International, an organization that partners with LifeWind to plan the trip itinerary, arrange for travel, lodging and food as well as provide training, materials and insurance coverage. Face to Face has worked with our team leader, Hugo Gomez, on many short-term mission trips to Central America and they work to keep the costs down for smaller churches like ours.
We will be posting more information in the coming weeks on this link as we receive itinerary information from Face to Face.
